A quick and easy campfire treat combining bananas, marshmallows, chocolate, and a rich peanut butter drizzle for a gooey, indulgent dessert perfect for outdoor fun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe but firm bananas
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Aluminum foil for wrapping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bananas by slicing each lengthwise down the middle, leaving about ½ inch intact so the banana holds together like a boat with the peel on.
  2. Gently open the banana slit and stuff with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips, leaving some space for melting.
  3. Wrap each stuffed banana tightly in aluminum foil, folding edges to seal and prevent leaks. Double-wrap if foil is thin or cooking directly on embers.
  4. In a small bowl, mix creamy peanut butter with honey or maple syrup until smooth and pourable.
  5. Place the foil packets on hot coals or grill grate and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally with tongs for even heat, until marshmallows puff and chocolate melts.
  6. Carefully unwrap the banana boats and drizzle with the peanut butter mixture before serving.

Notes

Use ripe but firm bananas to hold shape. Double-wrap foil for direct ember cooking. Avoid direct flames to prevent burning. Mix peanut butter drizzle just before serving for best texture. Can be cooked in oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes if no campfire available.
