A quick and easy party snack featuring crisp celery stalks filled with creamy, tangy pimento cheese. Perfect for entertaining or a simple nibble.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (200g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup (120ml) mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons jarred pimentos, drained and chopped
  • 810 medium celery stalks
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse 8-10 medium celery stalks under cold water, pat dry, trim ends, and cut each stalk into 3-4 inch pieces. Set aside.
  2. Shred 2 cups (200g) sharp cheddar cheese using a box grater or food processor.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine shredded cheddar, ½ cup mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons chopped pimentos, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce if using. Stir until creamy and well blended.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings by adding more salt, pepper, or mayo to achieve a creamy, spreadable consistency.
  5. Fill each celery piece generously with the pimento cheese mixture using a spoon or butter knife and smooth the tops.
  6. Place stuffed celery on a serving platter and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and cheese to firm up.

Notes

For best texture, shred your own cheese instead of using pre-shredded. Chill stuffed celery bites before serving to help the cheese firm up and prevent sliding. Optional toppings include smoked paprika or chopped fresh chives. May substitute mayo with Greek yogurt or dairy-free mayo for lighter or vegan versions.
