These pork chops are crispy, garlicky, and coated with Parmesan for a juicy, flavorful dinner that’s quick and easy to prepare using an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops, 1-inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Olive oil spray
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, and a pinch of black pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
  4. Dip each pork chop into the egg wash, letting excess drip off, then press firmly into the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture to coat both sides. For extra crunch, double-dip by repeating the egg and breadcrumb steps.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Place the coated pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil spray.
  7. Cook for 12-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the coating is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Let the pork chops rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Pat pork chops dry before coating to help the crust stick and get crispy. Use fresh grated Parmesan for best browning. Lightly spray olive oil on chops before air frying to encourage browning. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even crispiness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Let chops rest after cooking to retain juiciness. For gluten-free, substitute breadcrumbs with almond flour or gluten-free panko. For dairy-free, use nutritional yeast instead of Parmesan.
