  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (100 g), shredded
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (60 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen corn, thaw completely and drain any excess liquid. If using fresh corn, cut kernels off the cob and measure about 4 cups.
  2. Place softened butter and cream cheese in a bowl; stir gently to combine until smooth.
  3. Warm a medium-sized heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and cream cheese mixture and stir until melted together and smooth.
  4. Add the corn kernels and stir well to coat each kernel with the creamy mixture.
  5. Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring to loosen the sauce and give it a silky finish.
  6. Sprinkle in garlic powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Stir thoroughly and adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and fully combined. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash more cream or milk.
  8. Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for color and freshness.
  9. Serve warm immediately.
