Instructions

  1. Chill your mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator or freezer for 5-10 minutes until cold.
  2. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream into the chilled bowl.
  3. Start whipping on medium speed using a hand mixer or stand mixer. After about 2 minutes, soft peaks will form.
  4. Slowly add 2 tablespoons (15 grams) powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract while continuing to whip.
  5. Whip for another 2-3 minutes until stiff peaks form, where peaks stand straight up without drooping.
  6. Stop whipping and check texture with a spatula; it should be light, airy, and hold shape.
