Sweet, salty, and creamy bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with tangy goat cheese make the perfect appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 4 ounces goat cheese
  • 6 slices thin-cut bacon, halved
  • Optional: honey for drizzling
  • Optional: chopped nuts like pecans or almonds for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each date lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Remove the pits.
  3. Stuff each date with about 1 teaspoon of goat cheese.
  4. Wrap each stuffed date with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Place the wrapped dates seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning the dates halfway through cooking, until the bacon is crispy and golden.
  7. Allow the dates to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

[‘Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.’, ‘Broil for 1-2 minutes at the end of baking if the bacon isn’t crispy enough.’, ‘Test one date before serving to ensure the bacon is fully cooked and the cheese is warm.’, ‘You can prepare these ahead of time and bake them fresh when ready to serve.’]
