A quick and easy side dish featuring crispy roasted broccoli with garlic and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for weeknight dinners or holiday spreads.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced finely
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: fresh lemon juice, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, or balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Wash the broccoli thoroughly and pat dry. Cut into bite-sized florets, removing any tough stems.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding to ensure crispy edges.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through. The broccoli should be tender with golden, crispy edges.
  6. Remove the broccoli from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan evenly over the top. Return to the oven for 2-3 more minutes, just until the cheese melts and starts to bubble.
  7. Optional: After removing from the oven, drizzle a little lemon juice or sprinkle red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
