Crispy Green Shamrock Pretzels with White Chocolate Drizzle

Festive, crunchy pretzel shamrocks coated in vibrant green candy melts and finished with a silky white chocolate drizzle. These easy, crowd-pleasing treats are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day parties, lunchboxes, or bake sales.

  • 1 bag (about 10 oz) mini pretzel twists
  • 1 bag (10 oz) green candy melts (or white chocolate chips + oil-based green food coloring)
  • 1/2 cup (90g) white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 12 teaspoons coconut oil or shortening (optional, for thinning chocolate)
  • 1 bag (about 3 oz) pretzel sticks
  • Sprinkles or edible glitter (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Sort pretzel twists and sticks, discarding broken pieces.
  3. Melt green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth (1.5–2 minutes). Add 1 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening if needed for thinning.
  4. Arrange three pretzel twists in a shamrock shape on the baking sheet, touching at the center.
  5. Dab a little melted green candy at the center to glue them together.
  6. Press a pretzel stick at the base for the stem, sealing with more melted candy.
  7. Repeat to make about 20 shamrocks.
  8. Drizzle or dip each shamrock with remaining melted green candy to coat. Optionally, add sprinkles while wet.
  9. Let set at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
  10. Melt white chocolate chips in a clean microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Add 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil if needed.
  11. Drizzle white chocolate over each shamrock pretzel using a fork or spoon. Decorate as desired.
  12. Let pretzels set at room temperature until completely firm (about 20 minutes).
  13. Gently peel off parchment and serve or package.
