These crispy baked chicken tenders with ranch are a quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing snack featuring a crunchy ranch-infused breadcrumb coating baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds fresh chicken tenders or chicken breast strips
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Olive oil spray
  • Optional spices: garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and position oven rack in the middle.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs, ranch seasoning, and Parmesan cheese (add optional spices if desired).
  3. Pat chicken tenders dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper if needed.
  4. Dredge each tender in flour, shaking off excess, then dip into beaten eggs, letting excess drip off.
  5. Press tenders firmly into breadcrumb mixture to coat well.
  6. Arrange tenders on a wire rack set over a rimmed baking sheet.
  7. Spray tenders lightly with olive oil spray.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end but watch carefully to avoid burning. Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking. Pat chicken dry before coating to improve crispiness. Use a wire rack for best results. For gluten-free, substitute flour and breadcrumbs with almond flour and gluten-free panko. For dairy-free, omit Parmesan or use plant-based alternative and choose dairy-free ranch mix.
