This festive holiday snack mix combines creamy white chocolate, peanut butter, crunchy cereal, salty pretzels, and colorful candies for a sweet, salty, and irresistibly crunchy treat. Perfect for parties, gifting, or cozy nights in, it’s quick to make and endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups pretzel twists or sticks
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup holiday M&Ms (red and green)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add Rice Chex, pretzel twists, and mini marshmallows to a large mixing bowl and gently toss to combine.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until completely smooth (about 1-2 minutes total). Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Immediately pour the melted mixture over the cereal base. Use a spatula to gently fold everything together until evenly coated.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the coated mix out in an even layer. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the cooled mix into a large zip-top bag or paper bag. Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake vigorously until every piece is coated.
  6. Pour the mix back into the large bowl. Add holiday M&Ms, mini chocolate chips, and sprinkles. Toss gently to distribute.
  7. Taste a pieceβ€”if sticky, add more powdered sugar and toss again; if dry, drizzle a little melted white chocolate and mix.
  8. Once fully cooled and coated, transfer to an airtight container or festive tins for gifting. Store at room temperature for up to a week.

Notes

For gluten-free, use certified gluten-free Rice Chex and pretzels. Nut-free options include SunButter or cookie butter instead of peanut butter. Let the mix cool fully before adding candies to prevent melting. Use high-quality white chocolate chips for best results. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
