These no-bake Creamy Mint Oreo Truffles are a festive, easy treat featuring cool mint, chocolatey Oreo crumbs, and a creamy filling—perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any sweet occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Mint Oreo cookies (14.3 oz package)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp mint extract, to taste
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)
  • Green sprinkles or colored sugar (optional, for decorating)
  • 2 oz white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
  • Crushed mint Oreos (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place all Mint Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. Alternatively, crush cookies in a sealed bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Transfer crumbs to a large mixing bowl. Add softened cream cheese and mint extract. Beat together until completely combined and a thick, sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes to firm up the dough.
  4. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls between your palms. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Freeze the truffle balls for 15-20 minutes until firm.
  6. Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring until smooth and glossy. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler.
  7. Using forks, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, roll gently to coat, then lift and let excess drip off. Return to the parchment-lined sheet.
  8. Before the chocolate sets, decorate with green sprinkles, a drizzle of melted white chocolate, or crushed Oreos as desired.
  9. Let truffles sit at room temperature until chocolate hardens (about 20 minutes), or refrigerate to speed up.
  10. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.

Notes

Chill the dough before rolling and the truffles before dipping for best results. Use high-quality chocolate for a glossy shell. Adjust mint extract to taste—start with less and add more if needed. For gluten-free or vegan adaptations, substitute cookies and cream cheese accordingly. Truffles taste even better after a day as the mint flavor deepens.
