A festive winter cocktail featuring blended blueberries, coconut cream, and a snowy coconut rim. This easy martini is perfect for parties, cozy nights in, and holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (75g) fresh or frozen blueberries (thawed if frozen, plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 oz (60ml) vodka
  • 1 oz (30ml) coconut cream (not coconut milk)
  • 1/2 oz (15ml) triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1/2 oz (15ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz (15ml) simple syrup (adjust for sweetness)
  • Pinch of lemon zest (optional)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut (for rimming the glass)
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave (to help the coconut stick)
  • Fresh blueberries (for garnish)
  • Lemon twist (for garnish)
  • Small edible flowers (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pour the shredded coconut onto a small plate.
  2. Brush the rim of each martini glass with honey or agave using a clean finger or pastry brush.
  3. Dip the rim into the coconut, gently rolling to coat. Set aside. Chill glasses first for best results.
  4. Place blueberries in a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth, about 30 seconds. If using frozen, let them thaw and drain first.
  5. Strain the blended berries through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing with a spoon for a silky texture. (Optional: skip straining for a pulpier drink.)
  6. Add vodka, coconut cream, triple sec, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a pinch of lemon zest to a cocktail shaker.
  7. Add 2 tbsp of the blueberry puree.
  8. Fill the shaker halfway with ice.
  9. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds until icy cold.
  10. Strain the cocktail into your prepared martini glass. You should see a snowy swirl at the top.
  11. If you want a thicker, creamier drink, add an extra 1/2 oz coconut cream before shaking.
  12. Top with a few fresh blueberries, a twist of lemon peel, or a tiny edible flower.
  13. Serve immediately, while cold and frosty. Stir if coconut cream settles.

Notes

Taste and adjust sweetness as needed. For vegan, use agave instead of honey. Chill glasses and ingredients for best results. Strain blueberry puree for a silky texture. For mocktail, omit vodka and triple sec and use sparkling water. Coconut cream is key for snowy effect; avoid coconut milk. Prep puree and rim glasses ahead for efficiency.
