  • 1 large egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until the dough begins to come together. Be careful not to overmix.
